A Little About Me
My name is Norah L., and I’m a mom of three.
I recently welcomed my third baby in June, and while becoming a mom again has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, it also came with a lot of changes, responsibilities, and unexpected expenses.
Alongside motherhood, I work a full time 8–5 job as a technical professional.
I genuinely enjoy my career. I’m grateful for the work I do, and I’m not someone who started looking into digital marketing because I hated my job.
Quite the opposite.
I simply realized that, like many families, having one income wasn't always enough to cover everything life could bring our way.
There are everyday expenses, unexpected bills, family needs, and goals for the future. And when you add a new baby to the picture, those expenses can increase quickly.
That was one of the reasons I started thinking seriously about creating another source of income.
I wanted to learn something that could fit around my existing responsibilities.
I wanted flexibility.
I wanted to develop a skill that could potentially open up new opportunities.
And most importantly, I wanted to learn instead of simply hoping things would somehow work themselves out.
That decision eventually led me to digital marketing.
But my journey didn't begin with a perfectly organized plan.
Actually, it was quite the opposite.
How Social Media Introduced Me to Digital Marketing
For a long time, I spent quite a bit of time on social media watching content creators talk about digital marketing.
I would come across videos about content creation, online business, selling, affiliate marketing, social media strategies, and different ways people were using the internet to build businesses.
I was fascinated.
I would watch a video and think, "I need to learn this."
So I would save it.
Then I'd find another helpful video.
Save that one too.
Then another.
And another.
Before long, I had dozens of saved videos sitting on my social media accounts.
My intention was always to go back and teach myself.
But there was a problem.
I had information everywhere, but I didn't have direction.
One creator would explain one strategy.
Another creator would talk about something completely different.
Someone else would introduce another digital marketing skill.
I had all these little pieces of information, but I didn't know how to put them together.
And honestly, it became overwhelming.
I think this is something many beginners can relate to.
The internet gives us access to an incredible amount of free information, but having information isn't always the same thing as having a learning path.
You can watch hundreds of videos and still wonder:
Where do I start?
What should I learn first?
Which skills actually matter?
How do these different pieces fit together?
What should I do after I learn something?
Those were the questions I kept asking myself.
I knew there was something I wanted to learn.
I just didn't have a roadmap.
Then I Had My Baby
Everything became even more real after I had my third baby.
Shortly after delivery, the hospital bills started arriving.
One after another.
There was the hospital room.
Anesthesia.
The pediatrician.
The OB-GYN.
And other expenses that came with having a baby.
At the same time, I was adjusting to life with a newborn and dealing with the challenges that come with postpartum recovery.
It was a lot to process.
I was grateful for my baby and grateful for my family, but I also couldn't ignore the financial stress that was sitting in the back of my mind.
I started thinking more seriously about my finances and my future.
I didn't want to panic.
I didn't want to make decisions based on fear.
But I knew I wanted to explore another option.
I wanted to find something I could learn and potentially build alongside my existing career and family responsibilities.
That's when something unexpected happened.
The Live Video That Caught My Attention
One night, while scrolling through social media, I came across a live video from a woman talking about a digital marketing course.
She explained that the course covered more than 20 different skills.
Normally, I might have continued scrolling.
But something about what she was explaining made me stop.
I had already been interested in digital marketing for a while.
I had saved countless videos.
I had tried to teach myself.
But here was someone explaining a course that brought different areas of digital marketing together in one place.
I watched for less than 10 minutes.
And something clicked.
For the first time, I started thinking:
"Maybe this is the sign I've been looking for."
Taking a Chance on Myself
I didn't know the woman personally.
I hadn't been following her journey for years.
But something she shared during that live gave me enough confidence to learn more.
I sent her a DM.
She responded and sent me the information and link to the course.
Then I made a decision.
I joined.
It was a decision that felt significant because I wasn't just buying another piece of information.
I was investing in myself.
I was choosing to stop collecting random videos and start following a structured learning path.
Looking back, I'm grateful I found the course when I did.
Why Having a Roadmap Made Such a Difference
The course was exactly what I had been searching for.
Instead of having information scattered across different creators and platforms, I had a structured, step by step learning experience.
Everything was brought together in one place.
The lessons are detailed, practical, and easy to follow, especially if you're starting from zero.
That last part is important to me.
You don't need to already be an expert.
You don't need years of marketing experience.
You don't have to understand everything about online business before you start.
You can begin as a beginner.
And honestly, that's where I was.
A beginner.
I had curiosity.
I had a desire to learn.
I had goals.
But I didn't have all the answers.
The course gave me a place to start.
What Is Digital Marketing Really About?
One of the things I've learned through this experience is that digital marketing isn't simply about posting pictures or videos online.
It's much broader than that.
Digital marketing involves using online platforms and strategies to connect with an audience, build trust, communicate value, and promote products or services.
It can include content creation, social media marketing, sales, online business tools, affiliate marketing, user-generated content, sales funnels, and many other areas.
The more I learned, the more I realized just how many different directions someone can explore.
And that's one of the things I appreciate about SWC.
Rather than forcing everyone into one specific path, it allows you to learn about different areas and figure out what interests you.
That matters because everyone is different.
What works for one person might not be the right fit for someone else.
Your personality is different.
Your schedule is different.
Your strengths are different.
Your goals are different.
Having the opportunity to explore different skills allows you to discover what makes sense for you.
Exploring More Than 20 Digital Marketing Skills
The SWC course covers more than 20 different areas and skills connected to digital marketing and online business.
Some of the areas include content creation for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, selling, sales funnels, online business tools, UGC, affiliate marketing, TikTok Shop, Amazon reviews, and more.
For someone like me, that variety is helpful because it gives me a broader understanding of the digital marketing world.
Instead of hearing a term online and having no idea what it means, I can learn about it.
Instead of watching someone talk about a strategy and wondering how people actually use it, I can explore the topic more deeply.
That education gives me context.
And context makes it easier to make informed decisions about which areas I want to focus on.
Learning Content Creation
Content creation is one of the areas that caught my attention because content plays such an important role in the online world.
When you are building an online presence, people need a reason to pay attention to what you're sharing.
That doesn't mean every post has to sell something.
In fact, I've learned that constantly trying to sell can make your content feel forced.
Content can educate.
It can entertain.
It can inspire.
It can tell a story.
It can answer questions.
It can help someone solve a problem.
And over time, valuable content can help you build trust with an audience.
Learning how to create content with a purpose is therefore an important part of building an online presence.
Understanding Sales Funnels
Another area I was able to explore was sales funnels.
Before learning about digital marketing, I didn't fully understand what a sales funnel was or why businesses use them.
Now I understand that a funnel can help guide someone through different stages of discovering a product or service, learning more about it, and eventually making a purchasing decision.
It's another example of why having a structured course can be useful.
Instead of simply hearing terminology on social media, you can actually learn what these concepts mean and how they fit into the bigger picture of online business.
Learning About UGC and Affiliate Marketing
The course also introduces learners to areas such as UGC and affiliate marketing.
UGC, or user-generated content, involves creating content that brands can use to showcase or promote their products.
Affiliate marketing involves promoting products or services and potentially earning a commission when someone makes a qualifying purchase through your referral.
These are just two examples of the different opportunities that exist within the digital marketing space.
The important thing is not that everyone has to pursue every option.
The important thing is having enough knowledge to understand what's available and decide what aligns with your goals.
You Don't Need to Be an Expert
If there's one thing I would tell anyone thinking about starting, it's this:
You don't need to be an expert.
I certainly wasn't.
You don't need to know how everything works before you begin.
You don't need thousands of followers.
You don't need a perfect online presence.
You don't need years of experience.
You can start by learning.
With a phone, an internet connection, and a willingness to put in the time, you can begin developing your knowledge.
Of course, learning doesn't automatically guarantee income.
Everyone's results will be different, and building something online takes effort, consistency, patience, and action.
But having the right information and a structured path can make the beginning much less confusing.
That's what I was looking for.
And that's what I found.
Why SWC Feels Like More Than Just a Course
The more I learn, the more I realize that SWC isn't just a collection of lessons.
For me, it feels like a home for learning and growth.
You have the educational material, but you also have support.
There is a community of people who are learning and building their businesses.
There are weekly calls.
There is a community chat where questions can be asked and people can connect.
That support matters.
Starting something new can feel lonely when you're trying to figure everything out by yourself.
Having people around you who are working toward similar goals can make the experience feel completely different.
You don't have to feel like you're the only beginner in the room.
Why This Can Be Valuable for Busy Moms
As a mom of three, flexibility matters to me.
My life isn't always predictable.
Babies need attention.
Families have responsibilities.
Work has deadlines.
There are always things that need to be done.
That's why I appreciate being able to learn at my own pace.
I don't need to completely change my life to start learning.
I can work on developing these skills around the life I already have.
For other moms, this can be especially appealing.
Maybe you're a stay at home mom.
Maybe you work full time.
Maybe you're raising young children while trying to figure out what comes next.
Learning digital marketing doesn't require you to have your entire future mapped out.
You can simply start by learning.
This Is Also for Busy Professionals
I'm a full time technical professional, so I understand what it feels like to have a busy schedule.
Working an 8–5 job already takes a significant part of your day.
That's why I'm not looking for another opportunity that requires me to completely rearrange my life.
I'm looking for something I can build gradually.
If you're a professional who enjoys your career but wants to explore an additional income stream, learning digital marketing may be worth exploring.
You don't necessarily have to choose between your career and learning a new skill.
You can continue working while developing your knowledge on the side.
For me, that's exactly what I'm doing.
You Don't Need to Quit Your Job
I want to make this point because there is sometimes a misconception that getting into digital marketing means immediately quitting your job.
That's not my approach.
I enjoy my career.
My goal isn't to tell everyone to leave their 9–5.
My goal is to learn something that gives me additional options.
There's value in having multiple skills.
There's value in understanding online business.
There's value in developing something alongside your current career.
And there's value in knowing that you're not completely dependent on one path.
Digital marketing can be something you learn gradually while continuing to work your regular job.
My Biggest Lesson So Far
The biggest lesson I've learned is that information without direction can keep you stuck.
I had spent so much time saving videos.
I had collected advice from different people.
I had watched creators explain different strategies.
But I wasn't moving forward the way I wanted to.
What I needed wasn't necessarily more information.
I needed organization.
I needed guidance.
I needed a roadmap.
And that's what made joining SWC such an important step for me.
Instead of asking myself, "Which video should I watch next?" I finally had a structured place to learn.
That gave me clarity.
My Journey Is Still Just Beginning
I want to be honest about where I am.
I'm still learning.
I'm still growing.
I'm still figuring things out.
I don't have a story about becoming successful overnight, because that's not what this is about.
This is about taking the first step.
It's about learning a new skill.
It's about giving yourself an opportunity to grow.
It's about recognizing that you don't need to have everything figured out before you begin.
My journey into digital marketing is still beginning, but I'm excited about where it can take me.
I'm excited to continue learning.
I'm excited to explore different skills.
I'm excited to build something alongside my career and family.
And I'm excited about the possibility of creating another income stream over time.
Who I Believe SWC Can Help
If you're wondering whether this type of course is for you, I believe it can be a useful starting point for many different people.
You might be:
- A mom looking for more flexibility
- A dad wanting to learn a new online skill
- A stay at home parent
- A full time professional
- A student
- A small business owner
- Someone considering a career change
- Someone looking for a side hustle
- A beginner who doesn't know where to start
- Someone who has been saving digital marketing videos but never had a clear roadmap
You don't need to fit into one particular category.
You simply need to be willing to learn.
What I Hope You Take Away From My Story
If you've been watching digital marketing videos and saving posts the way I used to, I want you to know that I understand how overwhelming it can feel.
You can have hundreds of pieces of information and still not know what to do next.
That's why I believe having a structured learning experience can make such a difference.
You don't have to learn everything in one day.
You don't have to master every skill.
You don't have to know exactly which direction you'll take before you start.
Give yourself permission to explore.
Learn the basics.
Discover what interests you.
Practice.
Ask questions.
Keep improving.
That's how skills are built.
Final Thoughts: Sometimes You Just Need to Begin
Becoming a mom of three, returning to the responsibilities of my full-time career, and dealing with unexpected expenses after having my baby made me think more seriously about my financial future.
I knew I wanted another option.
I knew I wanted to learn.
And I knew I didn't want to spend another year simply saving videos and telling myself I would figure it out someday.
Finding SWC gave me the roadmap I had been missing.
It brought different areas of digital marketing together in one place and gave me the opportunity to learn at my own pace.
I have access to lessons, support, weekly calls, and a community of people who are also learning and building.
For me, that's valuable.
Not because it promises instant results.
Not because it guarantees a certain amount of money.
But because it gives me the knowledge and tools to start.
And sometimes, that's all we need in the beginning.
A starting point.
A little courage.
A willingness to learn.
And the decision to stop waiting for the perfect time.
My journey is still beginning, but I'm glad I finally took that first step.
If you've been thinking about learning digital marketing, maybe you don't need to have everything figured out either.
Maybe you just need to begin.
